Legal Interpreting Services seeks an on-call Hybrid (Remote/On-site) Interpreter to provide English↔foreign language court interpretation across NYC. This role requires flexibility, travel to all five boroughs, and reliable availability for on-site or remote assignments.

You will interpret in meetings, depositions, interviews, and testimony, using simultaneous, consecutive, and sight translation modes. Prior judicial interpretation experience is preferred; U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
• Reside in the greater New York City area.
• Willing to travel to all 5 boroughs of NYC.
• One year of experience interpreting in a judicial environment.
• Remote work requires Internet, quiet workspace, and a suitable device.
• Strong English and foreign language vocabularies for justice contexts.

Responsabilités

• Provide accurate interpretation in meetings, depositions, interviews, and testimony.
• Convert spoken statements between languages with high accuracy.
• Interpret in simultaneous, consecutive, and sight translation modes.
• Adapt to court and other official settings, including international meetings.
