Job summary

Houston Community College is seeking a Corporate Trainer Language (ESL and Foreign Languages) to provide soft-skills training to corporate clients on an on-call basis. The role focuses on leadership, management, supervisory and customer service skills, delivered in one- to three-day formats at client sites, online, or at HCC facilities.

You will assess client needs with Corporate College staff, develop customized training, and continuously update content and methods to stay current and effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area.
• Level 1 certifications in leadership, customer service preferred.
• Non-certified candidates must be willing to be trained/certified upon employment.
• 3 years of corporate training/subject-related industry experience required.
• Experience in community college, university teaching, or corporate training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and/or consulting to corporate clients as needed.
• Assess training needs for clients in conjunction with Corporate College staff.
• Customize training content and format to fit client’s objectives.
• Provide instruction in soft skills such as leadership and customer service.
• Deliver training in 1–3 day classroom formats with relevant materials.
• Update and revise course content and teaching methodologies to maintain currency.
