Victorian Post Acute in San Francisco is seeking an On-Call Cook to support our Dietary Services team. You will prepare meals that meet therapeutic diet requirements and safety standards, while ensuring timely service for residents.

We offer flexible on-call scheduling, competitive pay, and a collaborative, patient-centered kitchen environment where teamwork and reliability are valued. Prior nursing facility or healthcare food service experience is preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current California Food Handler Card required.
• Minimum one year of cooking experience preferred, ideally in healthcare or long-term care.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirements.
• Prepare food in large quantities while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Accurately prepare modified and texture-altered diets, including pureed and mechanical-soft meals.
• Follow portion control guidelines and ensure meals are attractively presented.
• Monitor and document food temperatures to maintain food safety compliance.
• Assist with meal service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Follow all federal, state, local, and facility food safety regulations.
• Complete assigned cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Report dietary concerns and kitchen issues to department leadership.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support resident care.
