Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring on-call COOK positions at Providence Health Centralia in Centralia, WA. Location is on-site with an on-call schedule; 1 year cooking experience required. The fixed pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Follows established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records for the area worked during service periods.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper storage of food and supplies; stores or discards excess food according to safe handling procedures.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned and ensures proper presentation and serving temperatures per HACCP standards.
