Job summary

Hood River Post Acute is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care per resident care plans. You will identify residents, assist with daily living activities, and maintain a warm, safe environment on the unit.

Responsibilities include reporting changes to the Nurse Supervisor, documenting care accurately, and helping with transfers, meals, and examinations as directed. A calm demeanor and adherence to privacy policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of 10th grade education or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general instructions and procedures.
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents using wristband/photo ID before treatments or meals.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets and charts.
• Report changes in resident condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, mobility, and transfers.
• Greet residents, orient them to their room, and maintain a calm, respectful environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any breaches.
• Assist with preparation for medical tests and examination procedures.
• Follow safety protocols and use only trained equipment.
