Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our early education centers in McLean, VA. As an on-call substitute, you’ll support classroom activities, communicate with families, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.

Ideal candidates have at least a high school diploma or GED, willingness to work with children, and a passion for early education. CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s in related field are preferred; 1 year of experience is nice to have.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
