Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, families, and caregivers on a PRN, on-call basis. Availability 24/7 and on-site within 30 minutes are required. You will educate and support staff while delivering compassionate spiritual care across diverse faiths and ages.

The ideal candidate has CPE units (or equivalent), ministry experience, and ACPE credentials or eligibility. A master’s in Divinity is preferred and beneficial for advancement.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
• OR Bachelor's degree, 3 years of ministry experience & satisfactory completion of one (1) or two (2) units of CPE with expectation to obtain four (4) CPE within two years of hire
• Credentialing, certification, or eligibility within two (2) years by a certifying organization or ACPE educator certification
• One (1) year of ministry experience
• Master’s degree of Divinity or equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide education and consultation for physicians, nurses, and other caregivers
• Provide spiritual care and counseling for patients, families and caregivers of all faith groups, ages and conditions
• Foster spiritual resources for healing
• Provide crisis and ongoing care
• Work regular and on-call hours
