Job summary

UC Irvine Facilities Management is seeking a skilled carpenter to construct partitions, install drywall, doors, and frames in campus facilities. The role requires following blueprints and safety practices on sometimes demanding job sites.

Applicants should have 1-3 years of carpentry experience, read drawings, and hold a valid California driver license. English proficiency and strong communication are essential for teamwork across campus projects.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in general carpentry, including construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of building components and fixtures.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Strong communication skills and a valid California driver license.

Responsibilities

• Construct partitions, install drywall, paneling, doors and frames per blueprints and instructions.
• Install/repair floor tiles, ceilings, cabinets, and furniture; fabricate counters and fixtures.
• Maintain time and materials documentation for each job.
