Job summary

RiseBoro Housing seeks an Assistant Superintendent for Brooklyn properties. The role covers on-site building maintenance, inspections, and emergency readiness, with up to 50% travel and day shifts.

Salary is $22.18 per hour, full-time, in a nonprofit housing context serving residents of a diverse community. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, completing weekly inspections, coordinating with property managers, handling work orders with proper signatures, and ensuring safety and cleanliness

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of superintendent experience in affordable housing preferred.
• Basic carpentry, masonry, windows, doors, roofing, electrical and HVAC knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and address maintenance issues promptly.
• Keep a log of time as a reporting mechanism for property managers.
• Ensure availability for emergency call status and coordinate coverage as needed.
• Perform weekly building inspections and document findings.
• Process work orders with tenants' signatures and obtain approvals.
