Job summary

Bonneville Seattle is seeking an On Call Board Operator to support our broadcast operations for KIRO Newsradio and related properties. The role focuses on on-air console operation, accurate logging, and timely delivery of content across terrestrial and digital platforms.

The position requires reliability, flexibility for weekdays, overnights, weekends, and the ability to respond within two hours for on-call shifts. Prior broadcast experience and proficiency with audio tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 1+ years broadcast experience preferred.
• Ability to operate studio equipment accurately and on time.
• Comfort with on-call and shift work including overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage on-air console operations during a shift to ensure smooth airing of programming.
• Maintain transmitter and program logs, air commercials per logs, and record satellite feeds.
• Troubleshoot studio equipment and report issues to engineering.
• Edit and post podcasts, coordinate music and sound levels for shows.
• Support talk show producers with social media content and show planning.
• Screen calls and ensure timely delivery of material for broadcast.
