Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician for the USCIS ASC operations in Reno, NV. This casual on-call role supports biometrics registration, crowd control, and customer service for applicants, with training provided and hours that vary based on needs.

The position requires US citizenship for credentials, a high school diploma, and strong English communication. Availability Monday–Friday 7:45am–4:15pm is expected, with no guaranteed schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials; US citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright for scheduled shift duration.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant's hands to obtain fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of the biometrics training within sixty days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration.
• Ensure only approved applicants enter the ASC and assist with crowd control.
• Provide front-line customer service representing Amentum and the US Government.
• Maintain visitor control logs and track processing times.
• Perform facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor.
