Job summary

Beeflow seeks a Beekeeper in Maine to execute the pollination program and ensure quality hives for farms. You will audit hives before and after blueberry season, feed hives with Beeflow technologies, and maintain hive health to support pollination needs.

The role is on-call with day/night shifts and potential travel to nearby ranches. Requires beekeeping experience, basic lifting, and willingness to relocate to Cherryfield, ME.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of beekeeping experience is required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
• Not allergic to bee stings.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Based in the Cherryfield, Maine area or willing to relocate for the duration of the project.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hive audits to determine the quality of hives.
• Monitor and report quality status through the pollination season.
• Feed hives with Beeflow’s technologies with care and precision.
• Keep hives productive and healthy to help with pollination needs.
• Inspect for mites or any other pest/disease.
• Conduct hive movement to ranches within district(s).
• Repair any damaged hives and assemble hives.
• Operate heavy machinery (forklifts, flatbeds, trailers, etc...).
• Ability to work shifts ranging from 6 to 16 hours during the day or occasionally during the night.
