Job summary

Beeflow is seeking a Beekeeper to perform hands-on hive audits and administer our pollination technologies on farms across the district. This on-call role supports delivering quality hives and advancing our ecosystem-friendly pollination program.

Start Date: Mid April. Responsibilities include auditing hives, monitoring quality, feeding hives with Beeflow's technologies, inspecting for mites, moving hives to ranches, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge/experience in farming industry preferred.
• Not allergic to bee stings.
• Beekeeping experience required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hive audits to determine the quality of hives.
• Monitor and report quality status through the pollination season.
• Feed hives with Beeflow’s technologies with care and precision.
• Keep hives productive and healthy to help with pollination needs.
• Inspect for mites or other pests/diseases.
• Conduct hive movement to ranches within district(s).
• Repair damaged hives and assemble hives.
• Operate heavy machinery as needed.
• Work shifts ranging from 6 to 16 hours during day or night.
