Job summary

Beeflow is seeking a Beekeeper in Washington state to execute the Pollination Program on an on-call basis. You will audit hives, feed them with Beeflow’s technologies, and ensure hives are healthy for pollination across ranches within the district.

Start Date: End of March. The role requires beekeeping experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid driver’s license; English and Spanish are preferred. Occasional night shifts and long daytime hours are possible.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of beekeeping experience is required.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out hive audits to determine quality of hives.
  • Monitor and report quality status through pollination season.
  • Feed hives with Beeflow’s technologies with care and precision.
  • Keep hives productive and healthy to support pollination needs.
  • Inspect for mites or pests and disease.
  • Conduct hive movement to ranches within districts.
  • Repair damaged hives and assemble hives.
  • Operate heavy machinery as needed.
  • Work shifts ranging from 6 to 16 hours, day or night.
  • Other duties as assigned.
