Job summary

Ormat Technologies in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a qualified maintenance professional to support general operations for battery storage and power plant equipment, emphasizing predictive and preventative maintenance and asset health monitoring.

You will develop and implement maintenance management practices, manage spare parts programs, coordinate field activities with operations, vendors, and regulators, and ensure strict safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with at least two years of technical training in operations and routine maintenance of battery storage, power plants and four years of experience in a power plant or equivalent environment.
• Thorough knowledge of operating a power plant or battery storage facility.
• Thorough knowledge of operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems; electrical systems maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC based instrumentation and control systems; troubleshoot and calibrate.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and vendor equipment drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Log equipment parameters, make adjustments, and coordinate field activities with operations management.
• Maintain safety procedures per VESI, NFPA70E, OSHA; respond to emergencies.
• Field equipment programming and troubleshooting; interact with vendors and regulators as assigned.
• Travel up to 25% overnight as needed.
