Job summary

Ormat is seeking an experienced Operations and Maintenance Technician to support battery storage and power plant equipment across California locations. The role requires performing preventative and corrective maintenance, logging equipment data, and coordinating field activities.

Travel and on-call duties may be required. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with technical training and solid knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, PLC-based controls, and industry safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical training in operations and maintenance.
• Experience in operating a power plant or battery storage facility.
• Knowledge of PLC-based instrumentation and control systems; troubleshooting and calibration.
• Proficiency with hand tools, test equipment and facility safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Understand battery operation including start-up, shutdown and emergency actions.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on plant equipment.
• Log plant parameters and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Coordinate field activities with operations management and vendors.
