Job summary

Ormat is seeking an engineer to provide general support for plant operations, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and safety compliance at a Corpus Christi, TX site. The role requires hands-on maintenance, equipment monitoring, and coordination with contractors and regulators to optimize performance.

The ideal candidate will have electrical engineering credentials, ongoing plant experience, and the ability to travel as needed to support field projects and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Two years technical training in operations and routine maintenance of battery storage/power plants and four years of experience in a power plant or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Understand battery operation including start-up, shutdown, and emergency actions.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Monitor equipment parameters and adjust as needed during rounds.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal resources.
• Assist in ordering materials and interface with vendors and regulators.
• Develop familiarity with plant safety procedures and emergency plans.
• Travel up to 25% as required for site support.
