Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality Group seeks a Banquet House Person On Call to support our Pier Sixty-Six Resort ceremonies and events in Fort Lauderdale. You will set up banquet spaces, arrange furniture and linens, and ensure rooms are prepared and spotless for each function.

Reporting to Banquets leadership, you will coordinate with captains and servers, adapt layouts to last‑minute changes, and help maintain safety and cleanliness across event areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior hotel, banquet, hospitality, or event setup experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment safely.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms: Arrange tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, and other equipment per event floor plans.
• Prepare event spaces: Set up linens, table settings, chairs, podiums, and other items as instructed.
• Break down events: Remove tables, chairs, linens, and equipment and return items to storage.
• Maintain cleanliness: Keep banquet rooms, storage areas, and service areas clean and hazard-free.
• Handle equipment: Safely move, transport, and store banquet furniture and AV equipment.
• Assist the banquet team: Work with captains, servers, supervisors, and coordinators for smooth events.
• Respond to event changes: Adjust room layouts and equipment per last-minute requests.
• Inspect event spaces: Ensure rooms are arranged, clean, and ready before guests arrive.
• Follow safety procedures: Use proper lifting techniques and follow hotel safety policies.
• Provide customer service: Respond professionally to guest and staff requests.
• Support additional duties: Replenish supplies and prepare rooms for upcoming functions.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by Supervisors.
