Job summary

Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition on the Seattle Center grounds seeks Banquet Servers to support our event services. The role focuses on delivering exceptional food service, upholding standards, and contributing to a memorable guest experience during high-volume events.

Responsibilities include setup, serving, maintaining service etiquette, and assisting team members to ensure timely service. This on-call, hourly position offers a $21.30 per hour rate plus tips and includes benefits such as

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of food serving experience in a high-volume banquet setting.
• Knowledge of wine and food pairing and service techniques.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Valid WA Alcohol Permit and WA Food Handler Permit.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Typical shift is 6-8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Follow steps of service and timing guidelines with a positive attitude.
• Know offerings for each event and engage in merchandising and teamwork.
• Set up tables and detail before opening.
• Serve food/beverages at correct temperatures and with proper presentation.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Assist other banquet servers with clearing and resetting to prevent delays.
• Provide service recovery and close out with management.
