Job summary

StepStone Hospitality is seeking enthusiastic On-Call Banquet Servers for DoubleTree by Hilton Portland to provide high-quality service for weddings, meetings, and conferences. This role supports guest experiences by greeting guests, serving meals, and maintaining banquet areas with the banquet team.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet or restaurant serving experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays/lift up to moderate weight.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications (tables, linens, place settings)
• Provide professional food and beverage service during events
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a timely and courteous manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
• Assist with event breakdown and reset of function spaces
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work closely with banquet and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service
