Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is seeking a Banquet Server - On-Call to join our hospitality team. You will participate in service, setup, and removal of food and beverage during banquet functions, while maintaining menu knowledge to describe items accurately.

Candidates should have strong food & beverage knowledge, a Food Handler Card and MAST Alcohol Permit, and flexible scheduling including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays. Previous banquet experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the service, setup and removal of food and beverage during banquet functions.
• Maintains knowledge of menu items to describe food during plated and buffet meals and receptions.
• Communicates guest orders, special needs or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
• Delivers food and beverages to guest tables promptly to ensure quality.
• Anticipates guests' needs and provides attentive service.
• Checks guest satisfaction and offers enhancements to improve experience.
• Breaks down and resets tables, buffets and beverage stations.
• Ensures Four Seasons service standards are met.
• Works harmoniously with colleagues and supervisors.

Key Elements Of The Job

• Participates in the service, setup and removal of food and beverage during banquet functions
• Maintains knowledge of menu items to be able to confidently describe food during plated and buffet meals along with receptions
• Communicates guest orders including any special needs, dietary restrictions or requests to the kitchen
• Delivers food and beverage to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure food quality
• Anticipates guests’ needs and responds promptly with utmost care and attention
• Ascertains satisfaction and offers suggestions in enhancing the guest experience
• Breakdowns, cleans and set-up of tables, food buffets and beverage stations
• Ensures Four Seasons service standards of excellence are achieved
• Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

• Strong food & beverage knowledge is required
• Food Handler Card and MAST Alcohol Permit is required at time of hire
• Maintain ownership of duties through hard work and discipline
• Flexible scheduling requiring availability of morning, afternoon, evening, weekends and holidays
• Banquet experience preferred
• Bartending skills is a plus
• Positive attitude with a generous and uplifting team approach
• Strong work ethic which includes a drive to grow, improve and learn everyday
• Energetic approach to his/her craftCalm composure under pressure
