Job summary

The Ballantyne in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Banquet Server to support a variety of events within our Banquets department. You will set up banquet rooms, greet guests, and deliver food and beverages with a high standard of service.

Collaboration with captains, bartenders, and kitchen staff is essential to ensure smooth operations and memorable guest experiences. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Job Overview:

As a Banquet Server you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, setting up and breaking down banquet functions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Event Setup and Breakdown:
• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces.
• Break down banquet rooms after events, cleaning and storing equipment.
• Guest Service:
• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond to their requests promptly.
• Maintain a positive and attentive attitude throughout the event.
• Food and Beverage Service:
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
• Clear tables and reset for the next course.
• Teamwork:
• Collaborate with other team members, including banquet captains, bartenders, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and managers.
• Additional Duties:
• Assist with event planning and coordination as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in banquet or restaurant service preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
