Job summary

Northwood Hospitality LLC is seeking a Banquet Server to support events at our Charlotte-area properties. You will set up and break down banquet spaces, greet guests, and provide timely food and beverage service while maintaining a clean workstation and adhering to sanitation standards.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on delivering exemplary guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet or restaurant service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Event Setup and Breakdown: Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces.
• Break down banquet rooms after events, cleaning and storing equipment.
• Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond to their requests promptly.
• Maintain a positive and attentive attitude throughout the event.
• Food and Beverage Service: Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
• Clear tables and reset for the next course.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members, including banquet captains, bartenders, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and managers.
• Additional Duties: Assist with event planning and coordination as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.
