Job Description Summary

Serve meals to patrons for banquet and catering functions.

Responsibilities

1. Adhere to Sonesta safety guidelines.
2. Prepare function room for banquet; set tables and place settings.
3. Serve drinks to guests.
4. Garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving.
5. Observe diners to respond to requests and determine when the meal is completed.
6. Suggest desserts, beverages, and after-dinner drinks.
7. Ladle soup, toss salads, portion desserts, brew coffee, and perform other services as needed.
8. Clear and reset tables at the end of each course.
9. Follow Sonesta Service Standards and Safety & Sanitation Standards.
10. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
11. Maintain uniform and grooming standards.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
13. Deliver passionate and engaging service, recognizing and anticipating guest needs to exceed expectations.
14. Greet guests warmly, establish rapport, and resolve requests or complaints effectively.
15. Express gratitude to guests at the end of service.
