Job summary

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa in Florida seeks a banquet cook to create and present food for banquet and catered events, ensuring excellence in timing, taste, and presentation. Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food for banquet and catered events per menus and BEOs.
• Butcher meat and seafood for banquets, weddings or parties as needed.
• Prepare sauces and garnishes for grilled items; maintain walk-in coolers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment.
• Assist in other kitchen areas and respond to last-minute changes professionally.
• Uphold resort policies and safety standards at all times.

Creates and produces food products for all banquet and catered events, ensuring high quality standards in timing, taste and presentation. This position requires consistent awareness of upcoming and booked events, including menus, guest counts, and special dietary needs, to ensure accurate preparation and seamless service. A commitment to creating an environment that consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of our guests, staff and owners.

Essential Functions:

• 1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all scheduled and upcoming events, including menus, guest counts, dietary restrictions, and timing requirements.
• 2. Work collaboratively with kitchen and banquet service teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
• 3. Prepare, cook, and present food for banquet and catered events according to established menus, recipes, and event orders (BEOs).
• 4. Butchering meat and seafood needed for banquets, weddings, or parties.
• 5. Prepare sauces and accompanying garnishes for all broiled and grilled menu items.
• 6. Cleans and sanitizes the kitchen.
• 7. Assists in other areas of the kitchen as needed.
• 8. Maintains the walk-in coolers for organization and freshness.
• 9. Maintains the highest sanitary standards.

• 11. Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• 12. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems, as necessary.

• 14. Works closely and maintains a positive working relationship with all Sundials kitchen team members.
• 15. Comply with all Resort policies, procedures and standards
