Job summary

Omnicell is seeking a PRN Automation Pharmacy Technician to support the XR2 system at customer sites in Columbus, IN. This on‑call role delivers hands‑on experience with advanced pharmacy automation and provides back‑up coverage for call‑ins and vacations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Active Indiana State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration.
Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or through the NHA, CPhT or ExCPT).
Experience with pharmacy automation preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate Omnicell automation systems at customer sites per SOPs and best practices.
Perform return and restocking duties to maximize automation efficiency.
Monitor formulary inventory levels for daily dispensing needs.
Conduct maintenance and report issues to TAC.
Daily and periodic equipment cleaning and inspections.
Maintain proactive communication with pharmacy operations and customers.
Provide training and ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
Manage work travel expenses per Omnicell policies.
