Job summary
Right At School is seeking a part-time substitute Educator to work after-school sessions at Winnetka School District. You will lead activities, supervise students, and support homework time, helping kids develop in a safe, structured environment.
This on-call role offers flexible hours and on-site work at a school setting. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience with children and strong communication skills, with a commitment to reliable, punctual scheduling and a positive mentoring
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience with children under 13 preferred.
- Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games.
- Excellent customer service and communication with children and adults.
- Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a part-time schedule.
- Able to lift 25 lbs and stand/walk/bend/kneel during shifts.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in students; take attendance and maintain records.
- Plan and lead daily activities and enrichment lessons.
- Support homework time and academic tasks as needed.
- Supervise during play, snacks, and transitions in a safe environment.
- Address minor conflicts with positive guidance; report safety concerns.
