Job summary

Oakmont of Redding, part of Oakmont Management Group, is a premier senior living community seeking an Activity Assistant to organize and lead engaging programs that promote independence and quality of life for residents.

You will support the Activity Director, recruit volunteers, coordinate events, and ensure safety while driving community vehicles. A high school diploma and experience with seniors are preferred, with MS Office skills and a valid license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Current Class C license, Passenger Endorsement preferred (B/C also acceptable).
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB).
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director by creating an engaging, rewarding social atmosphere and promoting resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers when needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles and support transportation as needed.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with other departments.
