Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking an Activity Assistant in California to organize, promote, and direct community activities that enhance residents’ independence and quality of life. You will assist with planning excursions, events, clubs, and educational activities while supporting the Activity Director and volunteers.

The role requires strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to drive community vehicles as needed. A high school diploma and experience with seniors are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Current Class C license; Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere with activities, excursions, events, clubs, and classes.
• Develop and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
