Job summary

Caterpillar Irving, TX, is seeking an Omniverse Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise Omniverse services for digital twin and simulation engineering.

Responsibilities include managing Nucleus, USD workflows, and asset pipelines, plus building Kit extensions and enabling Isaac Sim deployments. A strong background in Python/C++ and USD is required.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, Nucleus, USD, Kit, or related platform capabilities.
  • Experience developing software in Python and C++, including reusable libraries, extensions, APIs, tools, and automation.
  • Knowledge of USD composition, layers, references, variants, schemas, asset resolution, validation, and publishing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and support NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise services for digital twin and simulation engineering.
  • Own Nucleus environments, authentication and access patterns, workspace organization, connectivity, monitoring, backup, and operational health.
  • Develop USD asset pipelines for ingestion, conversion, validation, versioning, publishing, composition, and distribution of machine, environment, and sensor assets.
  • Build Omniverse Kit extensions, services, utilities, connectors, and automation using Python, C++, and supported SDKs.
  • Develop deployment and execution patterns for Isaac Sim, Omniverse applications, headless workloads, containers, and shared GPU environments.
