Job summary

County of Marin’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program seeks an Ombudsman Support Service Worker I to assist residents, families, and facilities with advocacy and problem resolution. This half-time role involves data entry, recordkeeping, and coordinating between clients and the program staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook, and a commitment to confidentiality and high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in health, social service or community organization with direct client contact.
• Six college semester units in health science, behavioral science, or social welfare; substitution permitted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Visit licensed facilities to ensure residents access Ombudsman services.
• Support program staff with data entry and Activity Logs into the program database.
• Maintain program and staff/volunteer files; manage phone intakes with callers.
