Job summary

The State of Florida's Department of Elder Affairs seeks a Quality Control Analyst to perform routine access visits, investigate complaints in long-term care facilities, and support the Office of State Long-Term Care Ombudsman. The role reports to the District Ombudsman Manager, requires travel, and is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Answers the phone and documents information in the web-based system; checks voice mail.
• Enters complaint and routine visits data; updates as received.
• Tracks reports and log information; maintains appropriate logs.
• Travels to facilities post-certification and conducts routine visits as needed.
• Investigates and resolves long-term care residents' complaints; interviews staff and family; writes findings reports.
• Assists with volunteer paperwork, travel, and training hours.
• Processes mail, emails, and faxes; responds as appropriate; e-filing.
• Coordinates monthly ombudsman district council meetings.
• Keeps inventory of forms and office supplies; coordinates distribution.
• Ensures volunteer approval process and timely notifications.
