Job summary

The Harvard University Ombuds Office in Cambridge is hiring an Ombuds I to join its team. This benefits-eligible, 35 hours per week hybrid position provides confidential dispute resolution, coaching, and policy guidance to Harvard faculty, staff and students.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and at least five years in ombudsing, conflict resolution, mediation or negotiation, plus experience designing and delivering trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist visitors in identifying concerns, goals and options for next steps.
• Provide informal dispute resolution, coaching and group facilitation.
• Consult with faculty and managers to develop cooperative strategies for complaint resolution.
• Work with offices serving Harvard faculty, staff, students and trainees.
