Job summary

The Judge Group in High Point, NC is seeking an experienced Physician (MD/DO), NP, or PA to deliver Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care in a busy outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include evaluating work injuries, improving patient care, and performing physicals, with a focus on DOT exams and pre-employment screenings.

This locum-to-perm opportunity runs from November 2026 through January 2027, Monday–Friday, with no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Active DEA registration
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or a related primary care specialty
• DOT Medical Examiner Certification required
• Minimum one year of office-based procedural experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat occupational injuries and illnesses
• Evaluate and treat urgent care patients
• Perform DOT physical examinations
• Conduct pre-employment, surveillance, and public safety physicals
• Perform office-based procedures
• Develop treatment plans and return-to-work recommendations
• Communicate work restrictions and treatment updates as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to provide Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care services in a busy outpatient clinic setting. The provider will evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, perform physical examinations, provide employer health services, and deliver high-quality patient care for both scheduled and walk-in patients.

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
• Ability to practice independently
• DOT Medical Examiner Certification required
• Minimum one year of office-based procedural experience

Preferred Experience

• Occupational Medicine experience strongly preferred
• Urgent Care experience preferred
• Experience performing office-based procedures
• Comfortable working autonomously in a high-volume outpatient setting

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care clinic
• Combination of scheduled appointments and walk-in patients
• Employer services and workers' compensation population
• Collaborative clinical environment
