Job summary

Collabera is seeking a Scientist I for a hands-on role in Des Plaines, IL focused on oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, validation, and product support within a medical devices environment.

The role involves hands-on lab work, analytical testing, data analysis, and documentation, with guidance from senior team members and collaboration across scientific and technical groups. This is an onsite position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, organic chemistry, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Hands on wet laboratory experience.
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and data analysis skills.
• Ability to perform laboratory testing and analyze experimental data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for diagnostic products under the guidance of senior scientific team members.
• Assist with experimental design and execution while performing testing using analytical chemistry instruments
• Conduct hands on wet laboratory activities supporting product testing, characterization, and development.
• Support oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Analyze laboratory data and prepare clear summaries of experimental results.
• Apply quality system requirements, change control processes, and technical impact assessments
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and cross functional partners to investigate technical documentation and product related issues.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and technical documentation in accordance with established procedures.
