Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for diagnostic products under the guidance of senior scientific team members.
• Assist with design and execution of laboratory experiments.
• Perform testing using analytical chemistry instruments and analyze data.
• Summarize experimental results and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Perform hands-on wet laboratory activities supporting product testing and development.
• Support oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, validation, and continuous-improvement activities.
• Apply Quality System requirements to laboratory and technical activities.
• Support change-control processes and technical impact assessments.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional partners to investigate documentation and product issues.
• Support identification and resolution of technical and product-related issues.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, experimental data, and technical documentation.
• Follow laboratory procedures, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Apply scientific and analytical techniques to support product and process activities.

Job Summary

Experience with oligonucleotide chemistry, analytical characterization, assay development, or small-molecule chemistry is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations.
• Working knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry.
• Experience with oligonucleotide:
• Synthesis
• Purification
• Analytical characterization
• Experience with analytical chemistry instruments.
• Experience with product testing, characterization, or validation.
• Experience with small-molecule chemistry or related wet-lab techniques.
• Experience working within a regulated quality system.
• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline may offset applicable experience requirements.

Work Requirements

• Position is onsite in Des Plaines, Illinois.
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Ability to perform hands-on laboratory and wet-lab activities.
• Ability to work with laboratory equipment and analytical chemistry instruments.
• Ability to accurately document experiments, test results, and technical activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with scientists, engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to learn and follow applicable quality-system, change-control, and laboratory procedures.
