Job summary

OliX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to support synthesis, purification, analytical characterization, and conjugation of chemically modified oligonucleotides for research and preclinical programs.

Senior Research Associates will independently execute workflows, troubleshoot issues, improve methods, and train junior colleagues, while Research Associates receive hands-on training and guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or related field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in chemistry/biochemistry.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, purification, desalting, and sample processing.
• Conduct analytical characterization using UHPLC, LC–MS, UV–Vis spectroscopy, and related techniques.
• Perform oligonucleotide purification using preparative HPLC and MPLC.
• Support oligonucleotide conjugation and downstream processing.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and data summaries.
