Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a Material Coordinator to join the Channelview site, responsible for planning and coordinating materials for routine mechanical maintenance. The role emphasizes safe operations, accurate job packages, and effective collaboration with operations, maintenance, and external suppliers.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with maintenance experience in the chemical/refining industry, plus strong reading of equipment drawings and QA/QC requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 5 years maintenance experience in chemical/refining industries.
• Advanced understanding of equipment design for piping and fixed equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply equipment drawings, specs and QA/QC requirements.
• SAP software experience preferred.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.
• Willing to work overtime and respond to callouts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate material for maintenance and repairs.
• Create detailed job packages with materials, tools, services, and scheduling logic.
• Manage notifications backlog and develop work orders with stakeholders.
• Develop BOMs and catalogs for required jobs.
• Lead safety huddles and coordinate with vendors and internal clients during bid packages.
