Job summary

Okuma / Takamatsu CNC Operator role in Houston, TX requires setting up and operating dual-turret, dual-spindle CNC machines with precision. You will read G-code and M-code, interpret blueprints, and adjust tooling and offsets to meet tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has experience with Mazak and/or Fanuc controls, good measuring skills, and a strong safety mindset. Day, night, and weekend shifts available to support production needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines with dual turrets and dual spindles.
• Read, interpret, and adjust G-code/M-code at the machine.
• Work with Mazak and Fanuc controls.
• Touch off tools, establish offsets, and adjust as needed.
• Apply coordinate systems (G54–G57) during setup.
• Read blueprints and verify dimensions with measuring tools.
• Monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, and uphold quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and manufacturing quality requirements.

Okuma / Takamatsu CNC Operator Pay Rate:$22–$28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Available Shifts: Day Shift Night Shift Weekend Day Shift Weekend Night Shift

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Okuma / Takamatsu CNC machines equipped with dual turrets and dual spindles.
• Read, interpret, and make adjustments to G-code and M-code programs at the machine.
• Work with Mazak and/or Fanuc controls.
• Touch off tools, establish work offsets, and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Apply coordinate systems, including G54, G55, G56, and G57.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and machining specifications.
• Use precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify part dimensions and quality.
• Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain consistent production standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing quality requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating dual-turret, dual-spindle CNC machines.
• Experience with Mazak and/or Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read and understand G-code and M-code.
• Experience editing or teaching programs at the machine, touching off tools, and setting work offsets.
• Working knowledge of CNC coordinate systems, including G54, G55, G56, and G57.
• Ability to use measuring and inspection instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Knowledge of machining terminology, CNC operations, and machining processes.
