Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience as a CNC lathe operator.
• Experience with Takisawa, Kitamura, DMG Mori and Haas preferred.
• Able to perform basic program edits and set tools.
• Experience using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges).
• Understand SPC requirements and fill out SPC charts.
• Read and understand English to interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Willing to move into CNC machinist and setup machinist roles with training.

Responsibilities

• Operate cnc lathe machines and perform basic edits.
• Set up tools and prepare fixtures for production runs.
• Take 1st article measurements and complete related paperwork.
• Utilize measuring tools to inspect parts and ensure conformance.
• Fill SPC charts and document process data as directed.

Job description

Candidate must have 1 to 2 years’ experience as a CNC Machine Lathe operator. Experience with Takisawa, Kitamura, DMG Mori and Haas equipment preferred.

Operator must be able to perform basic program edits and be able to set tools

Operator must have experience in the use of basic measuring tools (dial calipers, ID, OD micrometers, bore gages, thread gages).

Be able to understand SPC requirements and fill out SPC charts.

Perform 1st article measurements as directed by lead person or Production Manager, understand and be able to fill out 1st article paperwork.

Must be able to read and understand English to interpret blueprints, industry specifications and work order instructions.

A&R will provide training to enable the candidate to move into CNC machinist and Setup machinist position.

The candidate must have impeccable attendance and be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as needed

Candidate will be working with ITAR controlled parts and must be either a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder.

Salary Range: $18-$22/hr
