Job summary

Monroechamber is hiring a CNC Operator to efficiently run Mazak equipment, read blueprints, and perform basic edits to G-code. The role requires setup, inspection, and maintaining tolerances under supervision as part of an internal training path.

You will work with Mazatrol controls, make offsets, and ensure quality parts while adhering to safety and production standards in Glendale, CA.

Qualifications

• Must have prior CNC machining or operator experience.
• Experience with Mazak machines strongly preferred.
• Familiar with Mazatrol controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret machining specs.
• Able to make basic program edits and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mazak machines, including CNC lathes and milling equipment.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment according to production specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Read and understand G-code programs.
• Make basic program edits and adjustments as needed.
• Use Mazatrol controls to operate and make adjustments to CNC machines.
• Make offsets and machine adjustments to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform tool changes and assist with basic machine setup.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures.

CNC Operator

Position Title: CNC Operator Wage: $20.00-$27.00/hour (Based on experience and skill level) Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-12:00am Monday-Friday

CNC Operator Requirements

• Previous CNC machining or CNC operator experience required
• Experience operating Mazak CNC machines strongly preferred
• Experience with Mazatrol controls preferred
• Working knowledge of G-code programming required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to understand and adjust CNC programs
• Ability to make offsets and dimensional adjustments
• Basic understanding of CNC tooling, feeds, speeds, and machine operation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Must have enough foundational CNC knowledge to work independently with limited training
