Genesis10 is currently seeking an Okta Developer - IAM for a 6-month contract role with our client in the title insurance industry in Minneapolis, MN.

This role is 100% remote.

Summary:

The Okta Developer - IAM is responsible for developing and implementing solutions for identity and access management systems, focusing on Okta integrations. This role involves collaborating with development teams to ensure secure and seamless authentication processes, particularly supporting the NYDFS MFA project.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement Okta solutions for identity and access management, ensuring secure and efficient access to IT resources.
2. Collaborate with development teams to integrate Okta for authentication and authorization in applications.
3. Implement and manage role-based access controls and permissions within Okta.
4. Monitor and analyze Okta integrations for security threats and issues.
5. Implement and enforce IAM policies, standards, and procedures related to Okta.
6. Provide technical guidance to development teams on Okta integration and best practices.
7. Stay current on Okta features, industry trends, emerging technologies, and IAM best practices.
8. Generate reports on Okta integration and usage to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
9. Participate in IAM projects to enhance system security and efficiency through Okta.

Knowledge, Skills, and Expertise:

Education:

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Professional, CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
• Intermediate .NET development experience, including understanding of security patterns such as OWIN and OAuth.

Experience:

Generally, 2 to 5 years' experience in an Identity security role.

Expertise:

• Comprehensive understanding of IAM systems, especially Okta.
• Familiarity with compliance standards, particularly NYDFS MFA requirements.
• Knowledge of security best practices and access management protocols, with a focus on Okta.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Okta tools, including API usage and SDKs.
• Experience with identity lifecycle management, authentication, and authorization using Okta.
• Knowledge of SAML, OAuth, LDAP.
• Familiarity with MFA solutions, especially Okta MFA.
• Ability to troubleshoot Okta-related issues.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Effective communication across all management levels.
• Strong written skills for clear, concise reports free of jargon.

Other Employment Demands:

• Overnight travel may be required.
• Confidentiality may be required.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to disruptions.
• Repetitive keyboard activity and interaction with monitors.

Work Environment:

Primarily sedentary work involving sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting or moving objects.

Compensation:

Hourly W2 pay rate: $65.00 - $73.00/hr.
