Job summary

Whitley Penn, a leading audit, tax and advisory firm, seeks an Accounting Manager to join our Dallas team. You will work with the Energy Practice Leader to develop tools and processes for Oil & Gas Upstream clients and oversee the Oil and Gas Accounting group, including staff supervision and client relationship management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Oil & Gas accounting experience, Upstream/E&P.
• Experience setting up accounting functions/processes and implementation.
• Proficiency with OGsys and WolfePak accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools, systems, and processes for Oil & Gas Upstream accounting clients.
• Oversee operations of the Oil and Gas Accounting group, including organizational design and staffing.
• Set up and implement accounting functions related to Oil & Gas Upstream.
• Develop client service plans and align engagements with team.
• Research technical issues to ensure compliance with rules and standards.
• Lead, train, and develop associates; participate in performance management.
