Job summary

Oliva Gibbs PLLC in Oklahoma City is seeking a detail-oriented Oil & Gas Title Attorney with a JD and active Oklahoma license to join our Oklahoma team on a full-time basis.

You will conduct title examinations, draft title opinions, and perform due diligence for oil and gas transactions while collaborating with senior attorneys. A hybrid work arrangement and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active Oklahoma license with at least one year drafting title opinions.
• Experience drafting title opinions and familiarity with division orders and tract/allocation factors.
• Strong ethics, client confidentiality, and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multi-task, stay organized and meet quarterly billable targets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct oil and gas title examinations to determine ownership.
• Draft title opinions highlighting defects, liens, or issues affecting ownership.
• Perform due diligence for oil and gas transactions (mergers, acquisitions, JVs).
• Draft, review, and negotiate leases and joint operating agreements and related contracts.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local laws; collaborate with litigation as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to execute complex transactions.
