THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a GAS COMPRESSION FIELD TECHNICIAN to join our expanding team at Resource Energy Equipment in Midland, TX.

COMPETITIVE SALARY

Salary depends on experience, skills, education, and training. Overtime is typically calculated daily after 8 hours worked.

YOU

This role involves performing maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and process equipment at customer sites, as directed.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

• Troubleshoot and repair various equipment including Caterpillar, Cummins, and Waukesha Engines, as well as compressors.
• Perform preventative maintenance to standards with minimal assistance.
• Handle call-outs independently.
• Provide high-level customer service and communication.
• Utilize computer skills and specific programs (e.g., Cat ET, Cat SIS, Waukesha ESM).
• Complete and submit required documentation promptly using company software.

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of gas engines, compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, and skid wiring.
• Understanding of HSE procedures and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of customer's production equipment like scrubbers and skids.
• Comprehensive understanding of how compressor systems operate.
• Ability to follow maintenance checklists accurately.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with natural gas engines and compressors.
• Potential to mentor less experienced technicians and assist in training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Completed gas or diesel engine and compressor training.

JOB FACTS

• Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm; may include additional hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Stand, lift up to 75 pounds, reach, stoop, kneel, and operate tools and equipment.

• Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to mechanical parts, weather, noise, chemicals, and other hazards.
• Use of protective gear is required.
