Job summary

The Shift Supervisor position in the United Kingdom oversees DCS/SCADA operations at the Guilford facility, ensuring daily oil production and gas export targets are met. The role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and effective communication across shifts.

You will coordinate operator activities, manage the Permit to Work system in absence of the Shift Superintendent, and prepare accurate shift handovers while supporting reporting and incident response processes.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years supervising, operating, or maintaining an oil/gas facility.
• Relevant engineering qualification (ONC/BTEC) or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Process Operations.
• NEBOSH Oil & Gas Safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Control DCS/SCADA inputs to meet daily production and export targets.
• Optimise station performance and correct abnormal conditions.
• Coordinate operator activities across the station and wellsites per shift.
• Liaise with oil export customers on rates and quality.
• Manage day-ahead communication with power provider.
• Oversee Permit to Work in shift superintendent's absence.
• Delegate and track first-line maintenance on gas and utility equipment.
• Produce detailed shift handovers for continuity.
• Deputise as Incident Controller for emergencies.
• Support daily, weekly, monthly reporting via site systems.
