Job summary

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission invites applications for an Attorney (Oil & Gas) to provide regulatory legal support in its Office of General Counsel. The role focuses on advising and representing the Commission in oil and gas matters, drafting opinions and documents, and participating in hearings.

Requirements include admission to the Oklahoma Bar and at least three years of legal experience. Normal hours are 8am–4:30pm in Oklahoma City; not remote.

Qualifications

• Admission to the Oklahoma Bar Association and three (3) years of experience in the practice of law.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes factual and legal issues in policy and rule reviews.
• Researches case law, statutes, and regulations; prepares memoranda.
• Drafts legal documents and advisory opinions.
• Represents division in hearings before OCC judges or the Commission.
• Reviews cases; prepares reports and memoranda outlining issues and dispositions.
• Addresses public inquiries regarding legal issues and complaints involving regulated entities.
