Job summary

The State of Oklahoma's Office of the Attorney General is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for the Utility Regulation Unit in Oklahoma City. The role advocates for utility customers before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, researching, analyzing, and presenting complex financial and legal information at trial and through briefing.

The successful candidate must be a licensed attorney in Oklahoma or eligible for the bar by summer 2026, with strong writing, research, and communication

Qualifications

  • Licensed attorney in Oklahoma or eligible to sit for the bar exam by summer 2026.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong, efficient research and analytical skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and reviewing complex data produced by sophisticated companies and subject matter experts.
  • Prepare written recommendations based on research.
  • Assist with discovery on various cases.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing assistance with litigation before the Corporation Commission or other venues.
  • Work with internal and external subject matter experts to develop recommendations.
  • Minor travel is expected.
  • Other duties as assigned.
