Qualifications

• 5+ years oil & gas title experience required.
• Proficient with metes and bounds deed plotting tools.
• Proficient with mapping software, particularly ArcGIS and Google Earth.
• Experience working with county clerk/recorders offices, tax records, and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Verify surface ownership using county clerk/recorder websites and title plants and databases.
• Use GIS mapping system to verify assets and property locations.
• Analyze curative and conveyance documents to update surface ownership.
• Research county appraisal and tax records to corroborate owner names and addresses; reconcile discrepancies.
• Track business entity name changes using Secretary of State resources.
• Communicate with landowners to resolve inquiries and obtain documentation.
• Maintain an auditable record of ownership research with sources and updates.
• Coordinate third party contractors for title research and abstracting.
