Job summary
Atwell, LLC is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer with oil and gas experience to support pipeline and midstream projects. You will lead electrical and instrumentation design from concept through commissioning, coordinating with multi-discipline teams to deliver practical and compliant solutions.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, PE license preferred, and experience with SKM/ETAP, AutoCAD, and PLC/RTU/SCADA systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer license preferred, or ability to obtain based on state requirements.
- Oil & gas, midstream, pipeline, industrial or facility engineering experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act as an E&I engineering resource for pipeline and facility projects.
- Develop and review electrical and instrumentation design deliverables.
- Coordinate with process and mechanical teams on P&IDs and interfaces.
- Prepare equipment specifications for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, panels, and SCADA.
- Provide construction and commissioning support, including RFIs and FAT/SAT.
- Review project deliverables for codes and client requirements.
- Travel to client sites, Atwell offices, and vendor facilities as needed.
